So it is Christmas Eve today.
Because my mother in law is German, the main celebration will be held tonight.
My brother in law and his family have arrived safely from the Dominican Republic after two solid days of travelling.
They flew from Santo Domingo to Miami. From Miami to Los Angeles. From Los Angeles to Sydney. From Sydney to Adelaide.
Seichan and her cousins aged 8 and 5 have immediately bonded and started to run around around the house.
For Mr R's parents, it is a dream come true getting two brothers and their families together under one roof for Christmas.
Steffi, my mother in law has been in hightened excitement all day trying to get the house, the tables, the food and drinks ready for this main event.
